How to measure the emulsifying effect of horizontal emulsifying machine? The evaluation criteria are as follows:
1. The most direct method is to place the emulsified emulsion for a period of time to see if there is oil slick and stratification.
2. There is a certain relationship between the emulsification effect and the size of the emulsion droplets, and the emulsification effect can be judged by measuring the particle size distribution.
3. Observe the color of the emulsion on the wall. Blue indicates that the particle size is small. This is only a very crude method, but it still has some guiding effect on the initial experiment.
4. The particle size was measured and a high speed centrifugation test was performed to observe the stability of the emulsion.
Whether the emulsification effect is good depends mainly on whether the emulsification will break. Centrifugation and high temperature can accelerate the demulsification. If centrifugation and high temperature will not break the emulsion, the emulsification effect is very good.
6. The good emulsification effect is also reflected in the fact that the oil phase and the water phase cannot see a clear interface, that is to say, the entire system is relatively uniform and translucent, and there will be no emulsion droplets or uneven particles. Under an optical microscope, the size of the emulsion droplets should be relatively uniform, ranging from 0.1 to 100um.
